The United States is a large country and the world’s most advanced economy. In the context of entrepreneurship, it has the distinction of being both a great business jurisdiction, a great banking jurisdiction and in some circumstances, a tax haven. That is especially true for non-residents using LLCs registered in the zero-tax states and whose business activities does not take place within the United States. Tax-wise, the US is somewhat of a mixed-bag. On the plus side, rates tend to be lower than in other developed countries and the tax code is more flexible when it comes to fringe benefits and the like. On the minus side, tax optimising tends to be trickier and compliance more complex (and fairly costly). The articles listed below cover banking, business, taxation and more.
